The capping ceremony of 100 Basic Nursing Students of Oyo State College of Nursing and Midwifery, Eleyele, Ibadan took place on the 12th of August 2021 at the College Auditorium.

Capping is viewed as establishing professional identity for both nurses and midwifes. Therefore, the ceremony itself is very formal and momentous in character.

The best Student Nurse Abiola Sinminloluwa received her cap from the Provost of the College Mrs. Gbonjubola Owolabi and the other 10 best Student Nurses received their Caps form other principal officers of the College and the rest 89 student Nurses got their caps from the Lecturers and other staff member of the college.

In addition, the ceremony was streamlined on Facebook by the member of staff of the College Library which served as an avenue for most of their parents and guidance who could not attend due to COVID 19 pandemic in the country.

During the ceremony the provost of the College Mrs. Gbonjubola Owolabi revealed the new upcoming development in the College and the college Library in other to make it a world Class Library, she also buttress the point on the admission process to the College through the instrumentality of JAMB Examinations and student will be graduating from the College with OND and HND award.

Furthermore, she revealed the signing of MOU which Oyo State College of Nursing and Midwifery Eleyele signed with the LAUTECH management team for the award of Degree for the student Nurses who wish to further their degree programme in the College.
